Statistical publications are provided in a variety of download formats:

PDF Clicking on the PDF link will display documents in Portable Document Format (PDF) which require the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This can be downloaded from this download page. Some users may prefer to save the PDF file to disk by right clicking on the PDF link and then selecting "Save As" or "Save Target As". Adobe Acrobat Reader can then be used to open the PDF file from the saved location. PDF format files available for download from this site typically contain the entire content of a statistical publication.

Screen Reader Clicking on the Screen Reader link will use Access.adobe.com to convert the PDF publication into HTML and return it immediately to the web browser. This technology is designed to help sight-impaired users and produces HTML that screen readers, which convert screen information into speech, can understand. Screen readers are used primarily by individuals who are blind.

WORD Clicking on the WORD link will display Word documents which can be read using Microsoft Word. The Microsoft Word Viewer can be downloaded from this download page. WORD format files available for download from this site typically contain only the textual part of a statistical publication.

EXCEL Clicking on the EXCEL link will display Excel spreadsheets which can be read using Microsoft Excel. The Microsoft Spreadsheet File Viewer can be downloaded from this download page. EXCEL format files available for download from this site typically contain only the tables and charts from a statistical publication.

HTML Clicking on the HTML link will display HyperText Mark-up Language documents which can be viewed by web browsers. Latest versions of Microsoft and Mozilla browsers can be downloaded from this Department for Children, Schools and Families download page. Statistical Bulletins and Volumes are fully available in HTML format. In the case of Statistical First Releases, only the tables are available in HTML format.
