The Characteristics of High Attainers (Internet Only)
| Description | This Bulletin primarily discusses high attainment at pupil and school level. High attaining pupils' characteristics, prior attainment, subject choice and performance and attended schools are analysed. For these purposes, a variety of measures of high attainment are considered, including pupils flagged as gifted and talented by schools and early GCSE entrants. However, the focus is the top 10% of pupils at key stage 2 and 3 using finely graded average point scores, alongside mathematics and English scores, and the top 10% of pupils at key stage 4 using capped GCSE point score. | ||
