The Characteristics of Low Attaining Pupils
| Description | This Bulletin discusses the characteristics of pupils defined as 'low attaining' in terms of Key Stage test and GCSE results. The focus is on the bottom quartile (25%) of pupils in terms of average points at each Key Stage and below 'expected' levels at Key Stage 1-3. The bulletin concentrates mainly on Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4, to provide results from primary and secondary pupils. Some additional results are given for Key Stages 1 and 3. The results here complement those already published on the test results for pupils with various background characteristics. Coverage is maintained schools in England, except where otherwise stated. | ||
