| Description | This research project investigates language learning at Key Stage 3 (KS3) in order to understand the impact on provision and practice at this level of the Framework for Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and other current initiatives, such as regulatory changes to language learning at KS2 and KS4. This is a two-year longitudinal project (2006-2008). Two quantitative surveys with heads of language departments were conducted in the Autumn of 2006 and 2007. Qualitative fieldwork took place in 16 case study schools (during the Spring of 2007 and 2008). | |
