DescriptionThis report forms the evidence base of the Teacher Status Project, a nationwide study of the status of teachers and the teaching profession in England. The research was carried out at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education and the Department of Media and Communication , University of Leicester. It ran from September 2002 to December 2006, and was instigated and funded by the DfES.
