Welcome to the Risk Management Toolkit: a new national website to provide schools with practical guidance and tools to help address areas of risk identified in their Risk Ranking. This is the primary access point to risk management information for schools to help them be more aware of risk and to share knowledge and best practice. It aims to help reduce the disruption caused by incidents in schools, such as fires and vandalism and hence the number of claims that schools sometimes need to make. Ultimately it aims to reduce insurance costs. This website contains advice on handling property, liability and other risks and what best can be done to manage these risks in the future. Teachers can then focus on their priorities and their pupils rather then spend time searching for information.
This section contains both specific and general information on risk management for schools.
The Risk Survey Questionnaire allows schools to assess their insurance risk. A calculator keeps the assessment score as you progress through the questionnaire.
This page contains risk management information in your local authority and/or region. Please contact your local authority direct for futher details.
