The Department's new Analysis and Evidence Strategy (published on 29 May 2008) supports the delivery of the Children's Plan by setting out what we think we need to know now, and in the future, to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
The document:
- Outlines our plans for collecting the research and analysis evidence we will need to make sure that the goals set out in the Children's Plan stand the greatest chance of being achieved;
- Reflects the new structure of the Department and includes long-term overarching priorities as well as the more policy-specific short to medium-term priorities across the range of analytical disciplines and policy areas; and
- Includes customer-insight, and shows how all of our analytical work aligns to our Departmental Strategic Objectives
