EPPE 3-11 is a longitudinal study of 2,500 children, which investigates how home background, pre-school and primary education affect children’s attainment and social development.
This report examines key influences on the following social/ behavioural outcomes in Year 5 (age 10): self regulation (a measure of autonomy and confidence in learning), pro-social behaviour, anti-social behaviour and hyperactivity. A separate report on Year 5 cognitive outcomes in reading and maths was published in February.
