330200017 Promoting Speech and Language - a themed study in fifteen Sure Start Local Programmes Published   Published 28-Jun-2007 Report Publication Code : NESS/2007/FR/022 Brief Publication Code : NESS/2007/SF/022 Sure Start Local Programmes (SSLPs) supported children under 4 and their families by integrating services. This study reviewed the policy and practice issues that arose relating to improving language development for children in SSLP areas. The researchers sought to identify good practice to foster the development of young children’s language skills. Such lessons for good practice might have application in Children’s Centres.
