Prospective bidders should note the advice from the PIRLS and TIMSS sampling authority that countries should aim to sample at least 160 primary schools for PIRLS and 160 primary and 160 secondary schools for TIMSS. Bidders should therefore cost using these numbers of schools as a basis rather than the 150 schools originally referred to in the tender document which has now been amended to reflect the revised sample numbers.
