Checklist for quality improvement strategy

Does your institution have a written quality improvement strategy or policy?
Is it meaningful and substantial, or simply a bland statement of good intentions that anyone could claim?
Does the policy or strategy clearly state how you assure the quality of your provision in sufficient detail to be credible?
Does it refer to the elements you use in constructing your quality improvement arrangements and show how they fit together?
Does the strategy make clear how each of the elements impacts on all the key learning processes?
Do staff and vocational instructors understand the strategy and implement it effectively?
Does the strategy show the methods for quality improvement? These methods are likely to be different for each prison or institution.
