The Curriculum Documents

National curriculum documents have been produced for Adult Literacy, Numeracy, ESOL and Pre-entry.  The Access for All Guidance Manual has been developed to provide a guide for teachers of learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The documents set out the specific literacy, language and numeracy skills, knowledge and understanding required to met the national standards at each level.

Delivering Skills for Life - pack:

To celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of the Skills for Life strategy, the Adult Basic Skills Strategy Unit produced a briefing pack, Delivering Skills for Life.

Delivering Skills for Life supports teachers and managers in delivering the new teaching and learning infrastructure for literacy, numeracy and ESOL. The pack contains key source documents and briefing papers that will be of practical use to managers, planners, trainers and teachers of adult literacy, numeracy and ESOL.

We have produced two versions of the pack:

Delivering Skills for Life - box:

A shelf-top presentation box that contains the Delivering Skills for Life booklet and accompanying CD-ROM containing the standards, the full set of curricula documents and briefing sheets, plus all the key source documents in hard copy.

Delivering Skills for Life - booklet:

The Delivering Skills for Life booklet and accompanying CDROM. The CDROM contains pdf versions of the National Standards, FENTO’s subject specifications, the core  curricula for literacy, numeracy, ESOL, the pre-entry curriculum  framework for literacy and numeracy  and briefing sheets.
