Practice versions of the National Test

Launched in September 2001, the National Tests for Adult Literacy and Numeracy are directly based on the national standards for adult literacy and numeracy, allowing learners, tutors and employers to have a clear understanding of what has been achieved and value the resulting qualifications.

If you go on a course to improve your reading writing or maths skills you may decide to take the National Test. To see how you’re getting on, why not have a go at the practice versions of the Tests either on your own or with your tutor:

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING SOME TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES WITH THE PRACTICE TESTS ON THIS WEBSITE. WE ARE SORRY THIS MEANS THAT THE TESTS WILL NOT ADD UP YOUR SCORE FOR THE TIME BEING.

If you would like to try an alternative practice test, please go to the "Test Your Skills" section of the Move On website: www.move-on.org.uk
