This booklet offers guidance to the admissions officers of universities and other institutions of higher education on factors to be taken into account in assessing applications for degree and other courses in higher education from holders of the European Baccalaureate.

The booklet outlines the characteristics of the schools and the European Baccalaureate and offers advice on considering European Baccalaureate applicants for UK higher education courses.

The European Baccalaureate is awarded by only 12 European Schools established within the European Union to provide for the education of children of the staff employed by its institutions.

Holders of the European Baccalaureate have the same rights as nationals with equivalent qualifications to seek admission to UK universities and institutions of higher education.
