Dance Review (Published March 2008)
Lord Adonis and David Lammy jointly commissioned Tony Hall to lead a
review of dance education and youth dance. The Dance Review sets out
what Tony Hall sees as the key opportunities and challenges for young
people to access dance both in schools and in the wider community.
Government Response (Published March 2008)
The Government response to the Tony Hall Dance Review sets out how the
Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for
Children, Schools and Families will work together to ensure greater
access to dance for young people.
Audit of Dance Provision in English Schools 2006/07 (Published March
2008)
The Youth Sport Trust was asked to undertake an audit of dance
activity across England within school sport partnerships. The full
results of this audit are published here along with the audit
questionnaire. The results of the audit are currently being analysed
by Youth Dance England and the Dance Review Programme Board to inform
future support for dance education.
