Sir Jim Rose is developing recommendations on the identification and teaching of children with dyslexia. To help develop these, Jim is looking at published research evidence on the impact of different interventions on the progression of dyslexic children. In addition, on 14 July he asked to be sent the following material by 10 October:
- Details of published research you would like him to consider
- If you work in a school, or have worked in a school, your experience of what has helped children with dyslexia to make good progress, and what appears to have worked less well
- If you are a parent or carer of a child with dyslexia, your experience of what has helped your child to make good progress, and what appears to have worked less well
- If you are a child, young person or adult with dyslexia, your experience of what has helped you to make good progress, and what appears to have worked less well.
The deadline for responses has now passed and Sir Jim would like to thank all those who took the time to supply evidence, views and experiences.
An analysis of responses is now being prepared, which Jim will consider in developing his recommendations. He plans to publish a report of these recommendations early in 2009.
