ContactPoint
Faster and easier contact between children’s services professionals will now increasingly become a reality as ContactPoint starts to be rolled out across England. A report has been published which is available to download or order: Lessons learned from the Early Adopter phase highlights how ContactPoint is already making a positive difference for the practitioners using it. For more information, read the full press release.
ContactPoint provides a quick way for authorised practitioners in different services to find out who else is working with the same child or young person. This will make it easier for them to work as a team and deliver faster, more coordinated support.
ContactPoint is an online directory, available to authorised staff who need it to do their jobs. It is a tool to help improve the well-being of all children, keep them safe and ensure that no child slips through the net of support services. It is a key element of the Every Child Matters (ECM) programme, to transform children's services by supporting effective prevention and early intervention.
