Training materials to support child death review processes
Warwick University has produced multi-agency training materials for members of the Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) and key professionals on the child death review processes and their implementation. These materials complement and support the familiarisation DVD, Why Jason Died.
The overall aim of the training resources is to enable key professionals and, where appropriate, their managers to understand and implement the procedures.
The training materials will have different target audiences depending on whether the focus is the LSCBs' role, that of the overview panel, or the roles and responsibilities of those who are responding to the unexpected death of a child. Materials will assist practitioners and managers in specific tasks, for example home visits and reviewing the information gathered following the unexpected death of a child.
Due to the sensitive nature of the materials these have all been password protected. A copy of the password has been sent to all LSCBs with the letter.
The password to the training materials can be obtained by emailing Katy Garrett. Please provide full contact details, the organisation you work for and reason you would like access to the materials.
