This report reviews the market for fostering provision, which refers to children cared for by approved foster parents registered with fostering agencies or an LA rather than friends and family, and children’s homes.
Children's homes include establishments that are required to register as children’s homes with the Commission for Social Care Inspection.
This is one five reports that informs the development of targeted DfES policies in respect of four children's services markets:
- childcare
- positive activities for young people
- parental and family services
- residential homes and fostering.
