Working Together to Safeguard Children (2010) sets out how individuals and organisations should work together to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. ‘Chapter 8’ of Working Together sets out the processes Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) should follow when undertaking Serious Case Reviews (SCRs).
'Chapter 8' of the guidance was updated in 2009 to reflect Lord Laming’s recommendations on SCRs and the outcomes of public consultation. It has now been integrated into the full Working Together to Safeguard Children, which was revised in 2010.
The 2009 version of ‘Chapter 8’ is for archive purposes only and has been superseded by 'Chapter 8' of Working Together to Safeguard Children (2010).
