This case study describes the progress Tower Hamlets have made in embedding their commissioning principles and framework. It also looks at work the authority has underway to build on the progress made to date and reflects on some of the common issues and challenges associated with successful commissioning.
The case study features an evaluation of their commissioning principles and framework document. It also assesses how they have embedded the systems and processes which underpin successful commissioning and how they have engaged partners from the statutory and third sectors.
This case study follows on from a previous case study which provided insights on how to develop a set of commissioning principles and a framework.
Outcomes
So far the work has produced the following outcomes and outputs:
- more coherent and integrated commissioning processes across agencies
- a common platform for undertaking strategic re-commissioning of services
- an implementation plan for embedding commissioning structures.
