National Evaluation of Sure Start
The national evaluation of the Sure Start programme is a long-term, wide ranging study designed to evaluate the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of Sure Start. The first phase of the national evaluation ran from 2001 to 2008 and was undertaken by a consortium of academics and practitioners, led by Professor Edward Melhuish of Birkbeck College, University of London.
