Save Healthy Lives, Brighter Futures: The strategy for children and young people's health: Disabled children and Safeguarding for All
These letters highlight a number of key issues from Healthy Lives, Brighter Futures, including the strategy's announcement of the position on funding in primary care trust (PCT) allocations to improve services for disabled children. They also seek the personal leadership and support from PCT chief executives in the implementation of the recommendations, accepted in their entirety by the Government, set out in Lord Laming's The protection of children in England: A progress report. The Chief Nursing Officer and Director General for NHS Finance have also written to PCT chief executives giving further detail on the priority areas for action on services for disabled children. Copies of both letters are attached for information.
