Targeted youth support (TYS) pathfinder local models

Each of the 14 pathfinders has developed, or is in the process of developing, its own workable local model for delivering targeted youth support (TYS) services. The local models are also supported by an implementation plan. Several of these models are available below.

Models such as those set out here should not be implemented by children's trusts without working through the first three stages of the TYS change process. The process enables trusts to deepen their understanding of the root causes of local issues and ensure there is a collective consensus for change across all services and agencies as well as young people, families and communities.

Implementing ad hoc models without thoroughly exploring the root causes of the current situation is likely to result in ineffective, inappropriate and unsustainable solutions. Click to read more about the targeted youth support change process or read the local models below.
