Sample activities

Discuss quick ways of finding different percentages, e.g. 10%, 5%, 20%, 25%.
Discuss quick ways of finding 17¹/₂%. (Find 10%, halve to give 5%, halve again to give 2¹/₂% and add to get 17¹/₂%.)
