If you have a complaint about a school please see the information contained on the Directgov website - ''Your child's welfare at school''.
Further information is also available on the ParentsCentre website, where you may find the following two pages helpful: How to Complain and Problems at School.
Local authority complaints
Complaints about the maladministration of local authority services, including the way it operates the procedure for general school complaints, can be made to the Local Government Ombudsman.
However, the Ombudsman does not look at internal school management matters and usually expects thorough attention has been given to a complaint locally before investigation by the Ombudsman.
Further information about complaints to your local council or authority can be obtained by visiting DirectGov
