On the 6th September, the Prime Minister asked me to look at video games and the internet, and how they might affect you.  Since then, I’ve been busy meeting lots of people, listening to their views and deciding what I think should be done to make things better.

You can find out more about my Review and what I said in my report to the Government by reading the summary that I have produced for you.

For me, this has been a really important review –the internet and video games are a major part of your lives and offer incredible opportunities for having fun, learning and keeping in touch with friends.  I think it is vital that everyone feels able to use them, and knows how to manage the potential risks.

My Review is about making sure you can still do everything that you really enjoy, in the safest possible environment and in ways that are right for your age.  I just want to make sure that all the protections that are available in the real world to keep you safe are present in your ‘virtual worlds’ too.

I’d like to thank all of you who took part, either by sending me your thoughts and ideas in my Call for Evidence, blogging with me online or entering my ‘Netsmart’ / ‘Gamesmart’ competitions – all your views have been really interesting and very useful to the Review.
