The annual Departmental Report sets out the Government's expenditure plans for the Department for Children, Schools and Families based on the resources allocated in the Spending Reviews.
The 2008 Autumn Performance Report outlines latest and final assessments for the 2004 Spending Review Public Service Agreement (PSA) targets originally set for the former Department for Education and Skills which became the responsibility of the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It also introduces the new CSR07 suite of Public Service Agreements and reports progress where available.
The 2007 Autumn Performance Report outlines progress towards the 2004 Spending Review Public Service Agreement (PSA) targets originally set for the former Department for Education and Skills. These PSA targets are now the responsibility of the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Comprehensive Spending Review 2007
The Comprehensive Spending Review 2007 announced six new Departmental Strategic Objectives (DSOs) which drive forward the cross-government Public Service Agreements (PSAs). Public Service Agreements set out and prioritise the key outcomes Government wants to achieve in the next spending period 2008-2011. Value for money delivery agreement
This delivery agreement explains how the Department will achieve its value for money efficiency gains during the comprehensive spending review 2007 (CSR07) which covers the period 2008-09 to 2010-11.
The document details the major reforms, changes and initiatives the Department intends to undertake in order to achieve its savings ambition.
Spending Review 2004
Spending Reviews take place every two years and set three-year spending envelopes for departments. Spending Review 2004 covers financial years 2005-06 to 2007-08.
The Department’s 2004 Spending Review settlements were announced in the budget on 17 March 2004. The Secretary of State made a statement to the House of Commons on 16 September 2004 giving more detail on the allocations between sectors.
Spending Review 2004 set the Department's PSA targets for 2005-06 to 2007-08. The PSA White Paper was published on 12 July 2004 alongside the Spending Review White Paper.
